George C. McCormick, Ph.D., D.A.B.T., Vice President, Drug Safety & Disposition, Cephalon, Inc.

Dr. McCormick is Vice President of Drug Safety & Disposition with Cephalon, Inc., West Chester, PA and is administratively responsible for the overall operations of nonclinical toxicology, nonclinical and clinical pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism and bioanalysis within the Division of Drug Development. He received his B.S. (Pharmacy), M.S. (Environmental Toxicology), and Ph.D. (Toxicology) degrees from Temple University and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology. Prior to joining Cephalon, Inc. in 1994, Dr. McCormick has held various supervisory and/or scientific positions, primarily in the area of Drug Safety (toxicology) with Genentech, Inc.;  Ciba-Geigy Corporation; Schering-Plough Research Institute; and, Vick Divisions R&D. He is a member of a number of professional societies and has published in the areas of nonclinical toxicology and clinical pharmacokinetics.  His primary scientific interests are directed toward risk assessment, elucidation of mechanisms of toxicity, (clinical) dose selection criteria and applications, systems toxicology and toxicogenomics.
